Skar de Line’s Vignette Is a Chilling and Cinematic Meditation on Creativity and Fear

Leading us into the weekend is Vignette, a devastatingly pensive and chilling piece of music courtesy of Swedish-born, London-based artist Skar de Line. Expertly layered and pieced together, Skar's latest single begins with a delicate piano and the musician's haunting vocals. It's raw and intimate and cinematic. Slowly, things start to build, as de Line sucks you deeper into his meticulously crafted sonic web, before the tune eventually reaches its epic crescendo that feels like a purifying release for the artist.

"Vignette captures a moment of stillness," says Skar. "It explores the power we have with an empty slate in front of us, but also the crippling feeling of not knowing what to fill that empty canvas with".
