Folktronica Duo Moontwin Captivate with Haunting Single Doused In Blue

Serving as the opening track from their brand new album two, Doused In Blue is a hazy and folktronica offering from London-based act Moontwin, a duo I've been admiring for some time now.

Consisting of singer/songwriter Maple Bee (aka Melanie Garside) and Zac Kuzmanov, the pair craft deeply melty and immersive soundscapes - both beautifully exemplified in Doused In Blue. Let's dive in, shall we?

A scene-setter of epic proportions, Doused In Blue features Maple's dreamy vocals floating over gentle instrumentation. Slowly, things begin to build…but there's no rush - and the tune moves at its own pace - until it reaches a somewhat dark and intriguing turning point.

I almost feel as if I'd be "giving too much away" going into more detail around Doused In Blue. But what I will say is that, if it's a song that tickles your fancy, there's an excellent chance you'll love the entire new record. They're a supremely gifted duo, and I can't wait to hear from them again!
