Ripripple by Uncanny Valet: A Brilliant Burst of Dreamy Electro Innovation

David Queen is the brains behind Uncanny Valet, a solo electronic music project hailing from Brooklyn, New York. Last year saw the musician release his debut album Silo, and now Queen returns with Almost Island, a twelve-track offering that pushes his already warped and spontaneous sound into new sonic territories. Now, while I'd love to give you a rundown of the entire record, today I'd prefer to just hone in on track number three, a dreamy and delectable piece of upbeat electro brilliance that I've fallen completely in love with.

Titled Ripripple, the genre-bending and inventive tune takes listeners on an ethereal and textured auditory journey. It's willing to go anywhere at any time, keeping you on your toes in the most exciting and charming way possible.

With a runtime of under three minutes, it's seriously impressive to witness David squeeze so much creativity into such a tight timeframe. I guess that's the genius of his work…He can condense an entire labyrinth of sonic ideas into a short burst of brilliance.

Previously compared to the likes of Oneohtrix Point Never, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and Aphex Twin, Uncanny Valet is carving out his own sound and space in the scene - and it's a sound worthy of your attention!
