MadAboutFridges Unleash a Rock Mantra for the Ages with Indian Streetfight

As far as rocking and seriously polished debut singles go, Indian Streetfight by Austrian-based four-piece MadAboutFridges is up there with the very best. Coming out all guns blazing, Indian Streetfight features a Zeppelin-esque guitar riff and some intricate drum work to begin proceedings. It's not long before Gabriele Steiner makes her commanding vocal introduction, and leads us down an infectious, energetic, and hard-hitting soundscape that melts into your consciousness in the best possible way.

Described by the outfit as "a rock mantra that pays homage to the god Ganesha," Indian Streetfight is a hymn about complete self-abandonment. "First you feel dirty, then angry, and at some point you give up control and get out of samsara".

A seriously powerful and, frankly, epic tune, Indian Streetfight is the first of many new tracks MadAboutFridges have up their sleeves. My thinking is that if this is just the beginning, then we’re in for one hell of a ride.

Consisting of Benjamin Froschmaier, Dominik Weidinger, Mathis Gangkofner, and the aforementioned Gabriele Steiner, MadAboutFridges are undoubtedly a band worth keeping a very close eye (and ear) on!
