Jezeb's RESOLUTE Marks a Bold New Chapter in Conscious Hip-Hop

Apart from its brevity, there's really nothing I can complain about when it comes to RESOLUTE, the latest piece of conscious hip-hop courtesy of Buffalo-based artist and rapper Jezeb. As the musician's first release of 2025, RESOLUTE sees Jezeb making a commitment to himself and the listener…"I'm done rapping about random shit, I'd rather be direct and real".

Giving off an eerily reminiscent whiff of early Mac Miller, Jezeb's new track instantly caught my attention. The beat, produced by 4most, is laidback and hypnotic, providing the perfect foil for Jezeb's introspective verses and focused storytelling.

Other influential echoes that shine through RESOLUTE are the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Joey Bada$$, and Mick Jenkins. Crucially, however, Jezeb is beginning to carve out his own sound and style, concocting tunes that build on his influences as opposed to leaning on or mimicking them.
