Sabrielle’s Wait I Can’t Bare Is the Most Soul-Stirring Debut You’ll Hear This Year

A bare-it-all pop ballad of epic proportions, Wait I Can't Bare is the immensely moving debut single from a Vancouver-based singer/songwriter who performs under the name Sabrielle.

Featuring live strings and an evocative piano performance, the melancholic and heartbreaking tune is one of the most beautiful I've heard all year. Profoundly honest, painfully raw, and entirely drenched in the weight of its own vulnerability, Wait I Can't Bare aches with a tenderness that’s impossible to ignore.

"The first time I performed Wait I Can't Bare at a show, someone in the audience shouted 'That's vulnerable!'", recalls Sabrille. "And yeah…I guess it is".

With a diverse musical background - be it pop, gospel, jazz, or R&B, Sabrielle's angelic and soulful vocals bring a richness and warmth to her debut release that's simply impossible to ignore. It's a powerful introduction to the scene, and she's an artist I'll certainly be keeping a close eye (and ear) on going forward!
