In Blossoming Flows, by The Broadest Blue, Is the Sound of an Artist Realising His Vision

The Broadest Blue is the musical project of Brooklyn-based indie artist Kurt Juergens, and he's just delivered one of the most stunning pieces of music I've ever heard in the form of In Blossoming Flows

Serving as the fourth single from Kurt's forthcoming album All Flesh Is Like Grass, In Blossoming Flows is described by the musician as his "pocket symphony". An intimate and highly emotive composition filled with psychedelic, impressionist, and ambient textures, it carries a cinematic beauty that has quite honestly left me breathless.

"It's not an overstatement to say that after all of the songs I've written and recorded over the years, this is the epitome of what I was after," says Juergens. "I wanted to take my listener to a physical location through the sounds they heard - someplace maybe even they didn't realise they were longing to be, or have ever thought of before".

Featuring a mellotron, a vibraphone, and various field recordings, In Blossoming Flows is a bold exploration of sound. And, with Stephanie Babirak recording her harp parts from Long Island under Kurt's direction via Zoom, it's also a showcase of the musician's appreciation for modern collaboration and its boundless possibilities. An absolute stunner from start to finish!
