Survival, Speed, and Synths: Genevive’s See Clearer is a Rave-Ready Call to Break Free
Offering listeners a first taste of her forthcoming debut album Don't Throw Your Pearls To The Pigs, London-based electro artist Genevive has delivered See Clearer, a thumping and intense piece of electro pop.
Inspired by certain elements of rave tracks, and with a strong emphasis on speed, Genevive concocts a high-voltage blend of euphoria and urgency. It's a tune that, quite frankly, is begging for the dance floor, with its energetic spirit and relentless beat.
Recorded in the artist's flat, or to be more specific, her cupboard, See Clearer is as much a new song as it is a statement of dedication. From the original mic surviving a house fire to the tune making multiple trips to various engineers, Genevive's latest release wears its scars like a badge of honor, transforming chaos into a pulsating, club-ready anthem.
Exploring themes of self-discovery and empowerment, Genevive says she wanted See Clearer to "correlate with how I felt within the last seven years of my life…wanting to get away from narcissistic abuse quickly".
A release of pure and unfiltered catharsis, See Clearer is the sonic adrenaline rush you need in your life right now!
