Emma Forgette Cranks Up the Volume on Her Fiery New Single Woman

In May last year, I came across a bold and heartfelt tune called Somebody's Someone. Courtesy of Florida-based indie country artist Emma Forgette, it was the track that began my adoration for the singer/songwriter's sound. Four singles have since followed Somebody's Someone, but it's the most recent of which I'd like to introduce you to today.

Titled Woman, Emma's latest release is a spirited and charismatic offering. Featuring twangy guitars, a toe-tapping arrangement, and a seriously majestic and high-powered vocal performance, it's a song unlike any I've heard from the musician. She lets loose in the best possible way, showcasing a versatility I simply wasn't aware of.

Reflecting on the tune's meaning, Emma says, "It's about celebrating women who've always been the real strength behind the scenes. Women run the show, and I'm here to spell it out".

Penned by acclaimed Nashville songwriter Jon Michaels, Emma Forgette's latest single is proof of an artistic shift. She's decided to tap into a fearless new sound. And she’s never sounded more in control.
